52% of food cartons are recycled in France, and this rate will increase in the coming years. Large paper manufacturers manage to recycle empty cartons that are sorted and then compacted by separating in pulpers the 75% on average of unbleached paper that composes them (to make paper towels, hand towels, toilet paper, napkins and tissues) from the 20% of plastic + 5% of aluminum (used by other manufacturers who make PolyAl , a new material used to make tiles, floor coverings, street furniture, etc.).
